Drum School
Valentina Vekshina
Founder and teacher of the Drum On Trummikool school

My first degree was in room acoustics; I completed my master's at the Saint Petersburg State University of Film and Television, specializing in acoustics.
Studied drums under Max Klotz at the Mussorgsky Music College and later continued my education in Moscow under Sergey Smolyaninov. I actively develop my skills by attending international drumming courses and continuously improving my qualifications.
I have extensive experience performing on various stages, from clubs to stadiums. Have played drums and percussion for Mikhail Turetsky’s "Soprano Turetsky" and "Turetsky Choir", worked with the band "Na-Na", numerous cover bands, and rock/industrial projects such as "Sobyaki Tabaka" (Moscow), "N.O.M." (St. Petersburg), "Sasha Tsoy Project", and many others.
Have been teaching drums since 2015. In addition to focusing on hand and foot technique, which is crucial for drumming, I also share insights on playing in a band, avoiding common mistakes, working with a metronome and playback, performing in various styles, and creating original drum parts.
My teaching system is influenced by international drumming schools and is designed to help students progress step by step, whether they want to play for themselves or join a band. My priority is student results and comfort during lessons.
